A Portrait Of Jamie
Jamie's dad, Tim Arnold, isn't exactly an artist but can draw really well; it's a natural talent he has had all his life. However, it's a talent that he rarely uses. Jamie was always pressing him to do more and sell his work, but Tim doesn't enjoy doing it.
Over the past few months Jamie's brother, Ross, and sister, Ashlea, amongst others, have suggested that Tim should do a drawing of Jamie and sell copies of it to raise money for charity... so Tim is now setting out to do this.
Tim, Jamie's Dad
I intend to use the black and white photo used elsewhere on the website, which was originally taken by his ex-girlfriend, Laura. However, that image has the top of his head cropped off, so, I found a similar picture taken from almost exactly the same angle, but without him smiling, and I photoshopped the top of his head back on from that photo. I'll use this as the subject of the drawing.
The image at the top of this page is, on the left, the photoshopped image replacing the top of Jamie's head, on the right, and a photoshop "impression" of what the eventual drawing might look like. To be clear, the 'drawing' on the right is not a drawing, it is created from the image on the left using several filters in photoshop.
**The eventual drawing will be a genuine pencil drawing, hand drawn by Jamie's dad, Tim Arnold**
When the drawing is finished, the original will be framed and donated to St. Rocco's Hospice. Prints will be produced and offered to Jamie's friends, family and anyone who wants one in return for a donation to St. Rocco's Hospice via a fundraising page that will be launched when the prints are available.
